Donahue Students Participate in “Virtual” Ways of the Cross

JC Ken Ried
On April 11, the Junior Religion classes were participants in a Virtual Way of the Cross.  This spiritual journey was developed and written by Carrie Wolf and Michal Horace.  It was passed on to the BDHS Religion Department from the Campus Ministry Office at Wheeling Jesuit University.  Through their senses of hearing and touch, in a very real way, the participants experienced Christ’s final journey to the cross. Each Junior was paired up with a Senior guide, blindfolded, and led through some of the same things that Jesus experiences while on His way to die for our sins.  It turned out to be a very prayerful, emotional experience for both the Senior guides and Junior participants.  This may come to be a new “Tradition” at Donahue where Seniors minister to Juniors during this most holy time of the Church year.
