“Blue Ribbon Committee”
Dear Friends of Bishop Doanahue,

Many of you may have seen the stories in the media or have heard recent rumors regarding the “Blue Ribbon Committee” that has been formed to study the future of the Catholic High Schools in Ohio and Marshall Counties.
This committee provides a great opportunity for Bishop Donahue High School to showcase the outstanding progress we have made as a school in the past few years. Therefore - make no mistake - we welcome this look into our school.
This committee gives us a great forum to be able to highlight all of the accomplishments of our school and, most importantly, the accomplishments of our students. We are gaining students, while others are declining in their enrollment. We are retaining excellent faculty and working diligently as a family to provide exemplary programs for our students, despite having less resources than others.
We have been a proud provider of an excellent Catholic education to the students of Marshall County for over fifty years! Our commitment to our students, families and community has never wavered. It has been proven stronger in times of adversity. It is to the credit of the entire Bishop Donahue family that we have been able to achieve such great success. With your help it is my intent that Bishop Donahue High School will continue in its role as a premier high school in the Ohio Valley for many years to come.
It is my hope that after the “Blue Ribbon Committee” sees all that our school and students have been able to accomplish with limited resources, that they will provide us with more resources and make a significant financial investment in the future of Catholic Education in Marshall County.
As we prepare to close the books to the 2009-2010 school year, I remind you that you, our families, are the most important asset to our school. I am confident you will help spread the word - Bishop Donahue High School is without a doubt surpassing expectations.
As the need arises I may call on many of you for your expertise in certain areas and/or your testimonials as to how Bishop Donahue High School has been a positive influence in your life and in the lives of your children. I am certain, that as always, you will follow through in grand fashion.
We have so much to be proud of at BDHS! Thanks to this committee we are going to be able to “show-off” just a little bit more to people that may not know a lot about us…what a great opportunity!
Thank you,
Dan Angalich
Principal
