Hail to Thee O Alma Mater
We are thinking now of you
As we lift our joyful voices
In a tribute dear and True
In Our memories Always Lingering
Are happy thoughts of Donahue
Thus We shall pledge our loyalty
And our friendship to our School
Strive Always to be winners
But good sports when you lose
These happy days remember
of our dear old Donahue
| Financial Aid Workshop on Feb. 1st |
|
Seniors and Parents,
As we approach the second semester and grow ever nearer to graduation, I’m sure that paying for college is on your minds. In an effort to alleviate some of that stress we are hosting a FINANCIAL AID NIGHT on February 1, 2010.
A Financial Aid representative from West Liberty State College will conduct the session beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) will be discussed and reviewed in detail.
Following the presentation we will have a question and answer period.
Unlike past years, the Federal Govt. is not supplying paper FAFSA applications to the school. You can request a paper application (1-800-433-3243) or download a PDF version that you can submit at www.federalstudentaid.ed.gov . However, most families find it faster and easier to apply online. To prepare you for the online application, the FAFSA on the web worksheet will be the main topic of focus at our meeting.
If you wish to apply online both the parent and student must apply for a PIN (Personal Identification Number.) Simply go to http://www.pin.ed.gov/PINWebApp/pinindex.jsp.
We urge all seniors and their parents to attend this invaluable workshop. With the cost of higher education continuing to escalate, it is essential to understand the entire Financial Aid process.
We look forward to seeing you on the 1st for an interesting and informative evening.
