Complementing the curriculum in physical education, health and safety is a well-developed program providing for participation and competition in interscholastic sports. The program of interscholastic athletics includes football, boys and girls basketball, wrestling, track and field, golf, cross country, baseball, softball, cheerleading, and volleyball.
Bishop Donahue is a member of the West Virginia Secondary Schools Activity Commission (SSAC) and eligibility to participate in athletics or extracurricular activities is determined by the rules and decisions of the SSAC. A 2.0 (C) grade point average must be maintained each semester for eligibility.

There is a new fundraiser starting that could benefit all sports that we have at Bishop Donahue. We will be selling window stickers on a year round basis. Below are links to small pictures of what we currently have. The cost of these stickers is $10 each and $6 of each sticker purchased will go to that sport and $2.50 will go into the coach’s fund. There will be a reminder sent home occasionally about this fundraiser. If you would like to make an order at this time, simply click the order link, fill out the order form and send it back into school with a check for the total amount ordered (please write “Window Sticker Order” on the envelope.)
The check MUST be made out to, “BISHOP DONAHUE HIGH SCHOOL”. All current seniors that order stickers will have their stickers made first, but they will generally be made in the order in which they come in. These stickers are made of vinyl, similar to a bumper sticker, and have a spray laminate coating. They are permanent stickers! Once they are applied, you will not be able to move or adjust them! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at home. I hope that this will become an easy way for each sport to make a few bucks!

Students participating on teams are expected to conduct themselves appropriately on and off the fields of play in accordance with the student-parent handbook and all sport-specific coaching rules. All athletes prior to each season must submit in writing their approval to be subject to random drug testing. Any student that violates the school's student/athlete code of conduct or the drug policy for athletes will be disciplined according to the terms of those contracts.
