Pre-Prom Mock Crash and Chopper Evacuation Planned

All are WELCOME to be a part of the Bishop Donahue

PROM PROMISE Mock Crash and Helicopter Evacuation

On Wednesday, April 27, Mrs. Jody Miller (Ohio County M.A.D.D.-Mothers Against Drunk Driving), mother of Heather Miller who died in 2008 as the result of a drunk driver crash, shared Heather’s story in an attempt to convince our students to promise to remain drug and alcohol free at this year’s Prom and always.  She was accompanied by Christy Conley of C.O.R.E. (Center for Organ Recovery & Education).  Heather was able to help at least 4 people receive life-saving organs as a result of being an organ donor.

The Bishop Donahue family plans to start its own S.A.D.D. (Students Against Destructive Decisions) Chapter and these two ladies’ presentations served as a fantastic kick-off.  This event is part of our Prom Week festivities, where it is an especially important time to call to mind the need to remain drug and alcohol free, and to make responsible decisions particularly behind the wheel.
