Bishop Donahue High School is currently requesting nominations for the B.D. H.S. Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was created as a means of recognizing and promoting the accomplishments of our Alumni and Friends.
Any member of the Bishop Donahue family may serve as a nominator. The nominees must be an alumnus or alumnae to merit Hall of Fame consideration. However, non-alumni can qualify to enter the Hall as a Special Recognition member (see description below).
Hall of Fame…..The nominee must be an alumnus/alumnae who has achieved success in his/her chosen field and who has led an exemplary life. The alumnus/alumnae has significantly witnessed gospel values in his/her personal, professional and public life that were learned at Bishop Donahue.
Special Recognition Award (does not have to be an Alumni)…..The nominee has had a long-term commitment to Bishop Donahue High School having served in various capacities throughout the school for a number of years; has been a significant donor to Bishop Donahue causes or who was a parent who promoted family Christian values and Catholic Education with their family becoming a cornerstone of Donahue.
The Hall of Fame nomination deadline is December 12, 2015. Following the nomination and selection process, B.D.H.S. will hold its biennial Hall of Fame Ceremony in 2016. The induction ceremony and dinner will be held on February 20, 2016, at the Moundsville Country Club.
*The B.D. Hall of Fame and the B.D. Athletic Hall of Fame are two separate entities. We will begin accepting nominations for the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016. Nominations being solicited at this time are not based on athletic achievement.
