Freshman Robert Chesonis will be representing Bishop Donahue High School at the Ohio State Science Competition. The event will be held at The Ohio State University on Saturday, May 16, 2015.
Robert was awarded a perfect score at our school fair, and was advanced to the West Virginia Regional Science Competition at West Liberty University. There, he placed third in his category (Chemistry). B.D. Science teacher Jarett Kuhns approved his entry to the Ohio Regional Science Competition at Belmont University. There, Robert placed first in the Chemistry category, and once again earned a Superior score. Belmont University awarded Robert $100 for his work, and advanced him to the Ohio State Science Competition.
Robert’s project was a lab and research based experiment titled “Which 100% Fruit Juice Containing Vitamin C is Most Beneficial?” The project tested the correlation of Vitamin C concentration in various fruit juices with internal health benefits to the human body.
We congratulate Robert for a great job and wish him good luck at the Ohio State competition.
