Strings Class added to B.D. Curriculum

IMG_4103For the first time in school history, an Advanced Strings class is being offered at B.D.H.S. Students who have previously played the cello, violin, viola or double bass were eligible to participate.  The interest in Strings at the Elementary and Middle schools of Marshall County spurred the creation of the class.  Mrs. Molly Williams, who is working toward her Ph. D. in Musicology, serves as the class instructor.  During the 2014-15 school year, B.D.H.S. students will have the opportunity to collaborate with the John Marshall High School Strings program, and play with the Wheeling Symphony Youth Orchestra.
